Directions and Parking

The Polar Bear Plunge Headquarters (site of registration on Friday night and Saturday) is located at the Atlantic Sands Hotel at the end of Baltimore Avenue on the Boardwalk.

Going north or south, take the Rehoboth Avenue exit off of Route 1 (located just north of Dewey Beach and south of Lewes) and head toward the ocean. Turn left on First Street and right on Baltimore Avenue. Get directions from your starting point.

Parking is on your own, unless of course you stay at one of the several hotels offering great deals (and free parking) to our Polar Bears.

The crowd will be similar to a summer holiday weekend at the beach, and in fact, some claim even bigger. So if you are arriving Sunday morning, our only advice is to come early, be patient looking for a spot, and don’t park in any spaces that are marked “permit only,” “handicap,” or any other way forbidding parking. Even though it’s not beach season, tickets will still be issued if you park illegally.
